Accomplice
Rupert Holmes’ Accomplice is a labyrinthine exploration of the
“two-act thriller” genre. The show is a dizzying web of
assassination attempts as characters’ identities are revealed, cast
off, and again proven to be elaborate, venomous facades. Holmes pays
brilliant homage to classic four-actor thrillers such as J. B.
Priestly's "An Inspector Calls" and Agatha Christie’s legendary
"Mousetrap," allowing the plot twists to contort themselves through
the fourth wall and swirl the audience’s perception of reality. A
metatheatrical masterpiece riddled with black comedy and sharp
humor, Accomplice is sure to be an evening of suspicion and intrigue
as victims are murdered, resurrected, and killed again, and the
murderers seem to be multiplying…
