The Challenge Series
November 18, 19, 25, 26, 2005 Independence by Lee
Blessing directed by Ellen Wilson
Dilks
In the small town of Independence,
Iowa, Evelyn's three daughters return concerned for
their mother's mental health. The plot is complicated by
their different personalities and the natural baggage of
family. In the end, there is only a kind of arbitrary
independence for each of the protagonists, as they come
to realize that each must find her own heaven-or hell-in
her own way.
March 3, 4, 10, 11, 2006 The
Missing Link by Seth Rozin directed by
Dennis Bloh
A couple loses their only child in a
plane crash. It is a play about the struggles that each
parent must face dealing with the loss of his/her
daughter. It shows how the shared experience of a
struggle can also tear two people
apart.

The Reader's Series
October 21, 22, 2005 Accomplice by Rupert
Holmes directed by Jim Carroll
This truly
unique thriller by the author of The Mystery of Edwin
Drood begins as a straightforward English thriller
in a country house. A sex starved wife and her lover
plan to murder her stuffy husband. Various twists and
turns ensue and the audience is offered a thrilling and
entertaining evening of intrigue and theater.
April 21, 22, 2006 Bullpen by Steve
Kluger directed by Bruce Warren
Five relief
pitchers and a third string catcher sweat out an
afternoon in the Boston Red Sox bullpen, shaky in the
knowledge that one of them is about to be replaced by a
hot shot rookie. Their insecurities and foibles provide
a rollicking look at sports' relationships. Bullpen has
played to laughing and cheering audiences across the
country in productions tailored to the hometown team.
