The Mystery of
Edwin Drood
Music, Lyrics and Book by Rupert Holmes
Based on the book by
Charles Dickens
Winner of 5 Tony Awards®,
including Best Book, Best Score, and Best Musical
Performed April 21st to May 1st, 2005
The setting is the Music Hall Royale, a London variety theater in 1873. An acting troupe is about to embark on the premiere performance of The Mystery of Edwin Drood. You, the audience, get to play the part of “audience” and choose the outcome of the show by voting for your favorite ending. (Dickens died before he finished the book.) This entertaining musical experience features songs from the melodic “Perfect Strangers” and “Moonfall” to the rousing “Quit While You're Ahead”. A great way to combine our audience's love of a good musical and a good murder mystery!
